Noah Jenkins is a composer and violinist living in Eugene, OR. As a composer, recent projects include pieces for PRISM Saxophone Quartet, Oregon Percussion Ensemble, and Verbal Transcription. As violinist with turnEnsemble and Eugene Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, Noah collaborates with composers on new pieces in addition to performing landmark works of the contemporary repertoire. He has served as concertmaster of the University of Oregon Symphony Orchestra and also performs with the Eugene Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra NEXT. In June 2013 Noah had the great pleasure of collaborating with composers and performing alongside members of the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) at the New Music on the Point Festival in Vermont. His music has recently been performed in Malaysia by Beijing Central Conservatoryâ€™s Sostenuto Saxophone Quartet and in Wichita, Kansas by NuShock Ensemble. Noah holds degrees in composition and violin performance from the University of Oregon where he studied with Robert Kyr and David Crumb (composition) and Kathryn Lucktenberg (violin).

Oregon Connection: Raised in Grants Pass, I came to the University of Oregon where I earned Bachelor of Music degrees in both Composition and Violin Performance (2014). I currently reside in Eugene making my living as a composer, performer, and educator.
