ROBERT CHASTAIN has a BM, University of Florida, a MM, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and is has aPhD (in progress) at the University of Oregon. In addition to these degrees, I have been a Susan and Ford Schumann Fellow to the Aspen Summer Music Festival and School, a Williamson Foundation Grant recipient to attend the European American Musical Alliance, and a scholarship recipient to the to the Oregon Bach Festival Composers Symposium. I now work for the latter symposium as an administrative coordinator to director Robert Kyr.

Oregon Connection: As a PhD student in composition and Graduate Teaching Fellow for my department, I am actively involved in planning events for the Oregon Composers Forum. Through OCF, I have been involved with such ensembles as the Eugene Contemporary Composers Ensemble (ECCE), Sospiro Vocal Ensemble, and the Tai Hei Ensemble. I have also served as artistic director of the Ambrosia Ensemble (vocal).
